Dear Sir:
 
On March 3, 2011, the Board of Commissioners authorized the Director of Procurement and Materials Management to award Contract 11-613-11, Scavenger Services at Various Service Areas, Group B, to Land and Lakes Company, in an amount not to exceed $534,500.00. The contract expired on March 31, 2014.
 
As of August 19, 2014, the attached list of change orders has been approved. The effect of these change orders resulted in a decrease in an amount of $32,961.25 from the original amount awarded of $534,500.00. The current contract value is $501,538.75. The prior approved change orders reflect an approximate 6.2% decrease to the original contract value.
 
The decrease in the contract value is to due to a less than anticipated need for scavenger services in the Calumet service area in 2014, and to close out the Contract.
 
This change order is in compliance with the Illinois Criminal Code since the change is germane to the Contract.
 
It is hereby recommended that the Board of Commissioners authorize the Director of Procurement and Materials Management to execute a change order to decrease Contract 11-613-11, in an amount of $30,093.00 (6.0% of the current contract value), from an amount of $501,538.75, to an amount not to exceed $471,445.75.
 
Funds will be restored to Account 101-68000-612520.
