Dear Sir:
Contract documents and specifications have been prepared to furnish, deliver, and install a fuel tank.  This contract begins upon the award of the purchase order and approval of the contractor's insurance certificate.
The purpose of this contract is to furnish, deliver, and install a fuel tank for the Environmental Monitoring and Research Division, which will be used by the Aquatic Ecology and Water Quality Section at the Stickney Water Reclamation Plant to provide and store gasoline for a newly purchased Monitoring and Research Boat.
The estimated cost of this contract is $22,000.00.
A bid deposit is not required for this contract.
The Multi-Project Labor Agreement is not applicable to this contract because it is primarily a furnish and deliver contract.
The Affirmative Action Interim Ordinance Appendix D will not be included in this contract because it is primarily a furnish and deliver contract.
The tentative schedule for this contract is as follows:
Advertise            September 17, 2014
Bid Opening            October 7, 2014
Award                  October 16, 2014
Completion            November 28, 2014
Funds are available in Account 101-16000-634970 .
 
In view of the foregoing, it is recommended that the Director of Procurement and Materials Management be authorized to advertise Contract 14-105-11.
