Dear Sir:
Contract documents and specifications have been prepared for Contract 14-638-11 Recondition Ground and Test Devices at the request of the Maintenance and Operations Department.
The purpose of this contract is to procure services to recondition Eaton/Cutler Hammer and Westinghouse ground and test devices used in the 13.2 kV and 34.5 kV switchgear located throughout the Calumet Water Reclamation Plant and at the Lockport hydroelectric generating station.
The estimated cost for this contract is $21,500.00.
The bid deposit for this contract is $1,000.00.
The Multi-Project Labor Agreement (MPLA) will not be included in this contract because the work will be performed at the Contractor's repair facility.
The Affirmative Action Interim Ordinance Appendix D will not be included in this contract because the estimate is less than the minimum threshold established by Section 4 of the Affirmative Action Ordinance.
The tentative schedule for this contract is as follows:
Advertise September 10, 2014
Bid Opening September 30, 2014
Award October 16, 2014
Completion December 31, 2014
Funds are available in Accounts 101-66000/68000-612600/623070.
In view of the foregoing, it is recommended that the Director of Procurement and Materials Management be authorized to advertise Contract 14-638-11.
