Dear Sir:
Contract documents and specifications have been prepared to furnish and deliver police uniforms for a thirty-six (36) month period.
Uniforms and accessories are essential for a well-equipped, effective District police force.
The estimated cost for this contract is $75,000.00. The estimated 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2018 expenditures are $10,417.00, $25,000.00, $25,000.00, and $14,583.00, respectively.
A bid deposit of $3,750.00 is required for this contract.
The Multi-Project Labor Agreement is not applicable to this contract because it is primarily a furnish and deliver contract.
Affirmative Action Interim Ordinance Appendix D is not included in this contract because it is primarily a furnish and deliver contract.
The tentative schedule for this contract is as follows:
Advertise      May 6, 2015
Bid Opening      June 16, 2015
Award      July 9, 2015
Completion      August 8, 2018
Funds for the 2015 expenditures are available in Account 101-15000-623700. Funds for the 2016, 2017, and 2018 expenditures are contingent upon the Board of Commissioners' approval of the District's budget for those years.
 
In view of the foregoing, it is recommended that the Director of Procurement and Materials Management be authorized to advertise Contract 15-400-11.
