RESOLUTION sponsored by the Board of Commissioners recognizing the Young Irish Fellowship Club of Chicago
Body
WHEREAS, the Young Irish Fellowship Club of Chicago is a social and charitable organization run by volunteers in their 20's and 30's that celebrates the Irish culture; and
WHEREAS, open to young people of all cultural backgrounds, the Young Irish Fellowship Club of Chicago volunteers their time and donates to worthy local organizations to help make an impact on their community; and
WHEREAS, this year marks the 40th anniversary of Forever Green, one of Chicago's largest and longest running St. Patrick's Day celebrations; and
WHEREAS, Forever Green will be held on March 6, 2015 at Park West in Chicago and will benefit Ignite the Spirit, which supports members and families of the Chicago Fire Department that have fallen on hard times, and the Danny Did Foundation, which works to prevent deaths by seizures; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that we, the Board of Commissioners of the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago, on behalf of ourselves and staff, do hereby recognize the Young Irish Fellowship of Chicago for their good works in the community; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this Resolution be spread upon the permanent Record of Proceedings of the Board of Commissioners of the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago, and that a copy of same, suitably engrossed, be presented to the Young Irish Fellowship Club of Chicago.
