Title

Authority to issue a one (1) month permit extension to Shore Community Services, Inc., for the continued use of 2.58 acres of District real estate located at 2525 Church Street in Evanston, Illinois, and known as North Shore Channel Parcel 3.04. Consideration shall be $1,610.51

Dear Sir:

 

Shore Community Services (“Shore”) currently occupies 2.58 acres of District real estate located at 2525 Church Street in Evanston, Illinois, and known as North Shore Channel Parcel 3.04, under a permit issued by the District on February 19, 2009.  As extended, the permit expires February 28, 2016.  The current annual permit fee is $17,569.20.  Under the permit, Shore operates a program for persons with developmental disabilities.

 

Shore is in the process of renovating and moving into a different facility that it purchased in December 2014.  A one (1) month permit extension is being recommended in the interim until a more definitive move out schedule is in place.  A permit fee in the amount of $1,610.51 is recommended which represents the pro-rata share of the annual permit fee, plus a 10% inflationary rate.

 

It is requested that the Executive Director recommend to the Board of Commissioners that it authorize the issuance of a one (1) month permit extension to Shore Community Services, Inc. for the continued use of 2.58 acres of District real estate located at 2525 Church Street in Evanston, Illinois, and known as North Shore Channel Parcel 3.04. Consideration shall be $1,610.51.

 

It is further requested that the Executive Director recommend to the Board of Commissioners that the Chairman of the Committee on Finance and the Clerk be authorized and directed to execute said permit extension agreement after it is approved by the General Counsel as to form and legality.
