Dear Sir:
Contract documents and specifications have been prepared for Contract 16-971-11 Replacement of Wheelsets on Diesel Locomotive No. 4 at the Stickney Water Reclamation Plant, at the request of the Maintenance and Operations Department.
The purpose of this contract is to replace the wheels, axles, bull gears and brass support bearings on Diesel Locomotive No. 4 at the Stickney Water Reclamation Plant.
The estimated cost of this contract is $90,000.00.
The bid deposit for this contract is $4,500.00.
The Multi-Project Labor Agreement (MPLA) is not included in this contract because the classification of work does not fall within the provisions of the MPLA.
The Affirmative Action Ordinance, Revised Appendix D will not be included in this contract because the estimate is less than the minimum threshold established by Section 4 of the Affirmative Action Ordinance.
The tentative schedule for this contract is as follows:
Advertise September 7, 2016
Bid Opening September 27, 2016
Award October 20, 2016
Completion December 31, 2016
Funds are available in Account 101-69000-612670.
In view of the foregoing, it is recommended that the Director of Procurement and Materials Management be authorized to advertise Contract 16-971-11.
