Dear Sir:

 

Contract documents and specifications have been prepared to Furnish and Deliver Six Leica ZENO 20 GIS Collection Units.

 

The purpose of this contract is to obtain Leica ZENO 20 GIS Collection Units for the Engineering Department to use in mapping and surveying District construction projects.  The units offer accuracy up to one centimeter, needed to accurately map survey areas.

 

The estimated cost for this contract is $88,000.00.

 

A bid deposit is not required for this contract.

 

The Multi-Project Labor Agreement is not applicable to this contract because it is primarily a furnish and deliver contract.

 

The Affirmative Action Ordinance, Revised Appendix D is not included in this contract because it is primarily a furnish and deliver contract.

 

The tentative schedule for this contract is as follows:

Advertise                               October 12, 2016

Bid Opening                     October 26, 2016

Award                                         November 17, 2016

Completion                        December 31, 2016

 

Funds are available in Account 201-50000-634600.

 

In view of the foregoing, it is recommended that the Director of Procurement and Materials Management be authorized to advertise Contract 16-481-11.
