COMMITTEE ON PROCUREMENT

Mr. David St. Pierre, Executive Director

Title

Authorization to amend the scope of work for Contract 13-805-2S Television Inspection and Recording of Sewers and Manholes at Various Locations to National Power Rodding, Account 201-50000-612600, Purchase Order 5001482

Body

Dear Sir:

On September 4, 2014, the Board of Commissioners authorized the Director of Procurement and Materials Management to award Contract 13-805-2S Television Inspection and Recording of Sewers and Manholes at Various Locations to National Power Rodding, in an amount not to exceed $1,522,400.00. The scheduled contract completion date is September 17, 2017.

On August 5, 2016, District personnel discovered a break in the North Side sludge line. National Power Rodding was requested to mobilize to the site immediately to clean up the leaking sludge and to assist the District with additional cleaning during the repair of the sludge line. The cleaning services were performed August 5 thru 7, 2016. An amended scope of work is required since the current contract has no provision for emergency mobilization of crews.

It is hereby recommended that the Board of Commissioners authorize the Director of Procurement and Materials Management to amend the scope of work for Contract 13-805-2S Television Inspection and Recording of Sewers and Manholes at Various Locations.

Requested, Catherine A. O’Connor, Director of Engineering, WSS:KMF

Recommended, Darlene A. LoCascio, Director of Procurement and Materials Management

Respectfully Submitted, Barbara J. McGowan, Chairman Committee on Procurement
