Report on advertisement of Request for Proposal 17- RFP-15 Consulting Services for Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) Upgrade, estimated cost $300,000.00, Account 401-50000-612430, Requisition 1455231
Body
Dear Sir:
Request for Proposal (RFP) documents have been prepared for Consulting Services for Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) Upgrade, at the request of the Monitoring and Research Department Analytical Lab Division. The contract will begin on May 4, 2017 and ends May 3, 2018.
The purpose of this contract is to allow for consulting services to upgrade the current LIMS from version SM 10.2 to SM 11.2 and to integrate the Organic Compounds Analytical Laboratory into LIMS. The existing LIMS version is highly customized at the expense of many useful functions, causing users to rely on the Information Technology Department’s support to resolve instances of non-functionality. This request for proposal will allow for the successful proposer to facilitate the upgrading of LIMS in order to increase functionality, accuracy, efficiency and reduce the Monitoring and Research Department’s reliance on Information Technology support.
The estimated cost for this RFP is $300,000.00.
A bid deposit is not required for this RFP.
Appendix A will be included in this RFP. The type of work to be performed under this contract is within the professional services category for establishing Minority-owned Business Enterprises (MBE), Women-owned Business Enterprises (WBE) and/or Small Business Enterprises (SBE) goals. The MBE, WBE and/or SBE goals for this contract are: 20 percent MBE, 10 percent WBE, and 10 percent SBE.
The tentative schedule for this contract is as follows:
