RESOLUTION sponsored by the Board of Commissioners recognizing Mission Propelle
Body
WHEREAS, it is the goal of Mission Propelle to empower elementary-age girls to know who they are, what they believe and how to advocate for themselves; and
WHEREAS, Mission Propelle aids girls in creating inclusive communities that foster leadership and friendship; and
WHEREAS, Mission Propelle‘s teaching team mirrors the diversity of the girls who are mentored, coming from different backgrounds, beliefs, and professions; and
WHEREAS, Mission Propelle hosts after school yoga classes for girls across Chicagoland, in both the city and the suburbs; and
WHEREAS, the young ladies enrolled in Mission Propelle’s programs are challenged to grow emotionally and push themselves physically; and
WHEREAS, as we celebrate Women’s History Month, Mission Propelle is an excellent example of women uniting to make an impact in our world; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that we, the Board of Commissioners of the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago, on behalf of ourselves and staff, recognize Mission Propelle and its work throughout Chicagoland; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this Resolution be spread upon the permanent Record of proceedings of the Board of Commissioners of the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago, and that a copy of same, suitably engrossed, be presented to the Mission Propelle Team.
