Dear Sir:
Contract documents and specifications have been prepared for services to procure record storage improvements at the Egan Water Reclamation Plant, at the request of the Maintenance and Operations Department.
The purpose of this contract is to procure services to install additional record storage units at the Egan Water Reclamation Plant.
The estimated cost for this contract is $55,000.00.
The bid deposit for this contract is $2,750.00.
The contract specifications require that all work commence upon the approval of the contractor’s bond, and be completed 120 calendar days thereafter. Liquidated damages are $50.00 for each and every calendar day that the contractor is in default of the time specified.
The Multi-Project Labor Agreement will not be included in this contract due to the specialized nature of the services involved.
Revised Appendix D will not be included in this contract because the estimate is less than the minimum threshold established by Section 4 of the Affirmative Action Ordinance.
The tentative schedule for this contract is as follows:
Advertise April 15, 2009
Bid Opening May 5, 2009
Award June 25, 2009
Completion November 10, 2009
Funds are available in Account 101-67000-612680.
In view of the foregoing, it is recommended that the Director of Procurement and Materials Management be authorized to advertise Contract 09-773-11.
