MEMORIAL RESOLUTION FOR BOARD MEETING OF APRIL 2, 2009

MEMORIAL RESOLUTION sponsored by the Board of Commissioners extending sympathy and condolences to the family of Theron “T” Ridley

Body

 

WHEREAS, Theron “T” Ridley, passed from this life on March 21, 2009; and

 

WHEREAS, Mr. Ridley, a native of Chicago, attended Harper High School on the Chicago’s Southside and was a member at Christ Community Ministries; and

 

WHEREAS, Mr. Ridley was an avid reader and connoisseur of soul songs from the 70s and 80s eras as well as an aficionado of the songs of “Dr. Watts”, which he loved to sing as well as listen to at every opportunity; and

 

WHEREAS, Mr. Ridley was a loving and devoted father to his children, Latara Dominique, Shanice Monique, Theron Jr., Akeba Sulena, Anthony and Therana; cherished by his parents the late Joe and Alberta Bell Ridley; and, treasured by siblings the late John, the late Gamaliel, George, Greylon, Joe Ann Brunson, Sharon Faye Wallace, Jacqueline Young and Eddice Ridley; and,

 

WHEREAS, Mr. Ridley is fondly remembered as a strong family man whose affable personality, persuasive manner, and forgiving nature endeared him to all those who knew him; and 

 

WHEREAS, countless people mourn the passing of this wonderful gentleman who lived a full life, always giving freely of his time and energy to family, friends and chosen social and civic organizations; and 

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that we, the Board of Commissioners of the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago, on behalf of ourselves and staff, extend our sympathy and condolences to the family of Theron “T” Ridley; and

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this Resolution be spread upon the permanent Record of Proceedings of the Board of Commissioners of the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago and that a copy of same, suitably engrossed, be presented to the family of Theron “T” Ridley.
