Authority to commence statutory procedures to lease approximately 3.78 acres of District real estate located at 4801 South Harlem Avenue in Forest View, Illinois; Main Channel Parcel 37.11

Dear Sir:

 

P.A.R. Trucking, Inc. (“PAR”) has requested to lease approximately 3.78 acres of District real estate located at 4801 South Harlem Avenue in Forest View, Illinois, and known as Main Channel Parcel 37.11.  PAR intends to use the parcel for maintaining a truck terminal, including storing trucks and trailers, making repairs to its fleet of trucks, and maintaining an office building or office trailer.  The requested lease term is ten (10) years.

 

The District’s technical departments have reviewed this lease request and have indicated that the subject site is not currently needed for corporate use and that they have no technical objections thereto.

 

It is requested that the Acting Executive Director recommend to the Board of Commissioners that it authorize and direct the General Counsel to commence statutory procedures to lease approximately 3.78 acres of District real estate located at 4801 South Harlem Avenue in Forest View, Illinois; Main Channel Parcel 37.11 upon the terms and conditions set forth herein.
