Dear Sir:
Authorization is requested to issue a purchase order to Peterbilt Illinois-Joliet Inc., DBA JX Peterbilt-Bolingbrook, to furnish and deliver two dump trucks, each with a snow plow and a spreader to the Calumet Water Reclamation Plant. The dump trucks will be delivered by December 31, 2019.
Sourcewell (formerly NJPA) currently has a competitively bid contract with Peterbilt Motors Company, for the purchase of trucks. On May 19, 2011, the Board of Commissioners granted authority to participate in the NJPA purchasing cooperative. The invitation to bid was issued to establish a contract to enable all state agencies and authorized local governmental units to purchase current model year production vehicles during the contract period. The term of the contract began on November 15, 2016 and expires on November 15, 2020.
Peterbilt Motors Company has indicated that Peterbilt Illinois-Joliet Inc., DBA Peterbilt Bolingbrook is the local dealership in the region for this purchase.
Peterbilt Illinois-Joliet Inc., DBA JX Peterbilt-Bolingbrook, is registered and in good standing with the State of Illinois.
The Multi-Project Labor Agreement is not applicable to this requisition because it is primarily a furnish and deliver contract.
In view of the foregoing, it is recommended that the Director of Procurement and Materials Management be authorized to issue a purchase order to Peterbilt Illinois-Joliet Inc., DBA JX Peterbilt-Bolingbrook, in an amount not to exceed $384,944.04.
Funds are available in Account 101-68000-634860.
