Dear Sir:
On November 21, 2019, the Board of Commissioners authorized the Director of Procurement and Materials Management to award Contract 19-603-21, Furnish, Deliver and Install Motor Excitation Control Equipment at Various Locations, to Broadway Electric, Inc., in an amount not to exceed $814,900.00.
This contract has no prior change orders.
The increase is needed to install an additional exciter control system for vacuum pump number two at the North Branch Pumping Station.
It is hereby recommended that the Board of Commissioners authorize the Director of Procurement and Materials Management to execute a change order to increase the purchase order in an amount of $88,360.00 (10.8% of the current contract value), from an amount of $814,900.00, to an amount not to exceed $903,260.00.
This change order is in compliance with the Illinois Criminal Code since the change is germane to the contract as signed.
Funds are available in Account 201-50000-645700.
