Dear Sir:
In connection with the captioned project, it is necessary to obtain an Illinois Environmental Protection Agency (IEPA) Section 401 water quality certification permit. The permit fee is $10,000.00. The project stabilizes approximately 1,070 linear feet streambank along Oak Lawn Creek to protect structures and infrastructure threatened by erosion.
Funds are available in Account 501-50000-601170, Stormwater Management Fund.
It is requested that the Executive Director recommend to the Board of Commissioners that it authorize and approve payment of $10,000.00 to the IEPA for a Section 401 water quality certification permit for this project.
