Title
Report on advertisement of Request for Proposal 13-RFP-09 Workplace Violence Awareness Training, estimated cost $70,000.00, Account 101-25000-601170, Requisition 1360614
Body

Dear Sir:

Request for Proposal documents have been prepared for a Workplace Violence Awareness Training, at the request of the Human Resources Department.

The purpose of this contract is to select a vendor to develop and conduct refresher Workplace Violence Awareness training classes for approximately 1,900 employees and separate refresher training classes for employees assigned to the District's Threat Management Team (TMT).

Workplace Violence Awareness training was first conducted in 2011. The proposed refresher training will communicate the District's zero tolerance policy regarding workplace violence, discuss current issues on the subject, train employees to recognize early indicators and warning signs of potential workplace violence and present reporting procedures. The TMT training will cover the same content as the employee training, but will also include information and tools to assess situations involving threatening and violent behavior, ways to respond to an emergency situation or crises with mitigating strategies, procedures for investigating incidents and debriefing activities to reasonably prevent recurrence.

The estimated cost for this RFP is $70,000.00.

A bid deposit is not required for this request for proposal.

Appendix A is not included with this request for proposal, since the estimated cost is under $100,000.00.

Proposals Received:      June 14, 2013
