Dear Sir:
Request for Proposal (RFP) documents have been prepared for Professional Services for a Biostatistician, at the request of the Monitoring and Research Department (M&R).
The purpose of this contract is to support the biostatistician position in M&R, Environmental Monitoring and Research Division (EM&RD) on an as needed basis. The experimental design and statistical evaluation support services are currently provided by one District employee. If the employee is unavailable to provide these services, the work of M&R, particularly the EM&RD, will be adversely impacted. This is particularly crucial when EM&RD is requested to analyze large and complex data sets related to regulatory issues or prepare statistical analyses to support litigation and rulemaking.
The estimated cost for this RFP is $60,000.00.
A bid deposit is not required for this RFP.
Appendix A will not be included due to the scope of work performed under this RFP.

Funds for the 2013 expenditure, in the amount of $30,000.00, are available in Account 101-16000-601170. The estimated expenditure for 2014 is $30,000.00 and is contingent on the Board of Commissioners' approval of the District's budget for that year.
