Title
Authority to grant a 25-year, 50' x 10.05' non-exclusive easement to the City of Palos Hills to continue to operate, maintain, repair, remove and reconstruct a 12-inch storm sewer outfall pipe on District Cal-Sag Channel Parcel 6.01 located along the north side of the Cal-Sag Channel and south of 111th Street in Palos Hills, Illinois.  Consideration shall be $10.00
Body

Dear Sir:

On September 8, 1988, the District's Board of Commissioners granted the City of Palos Hills ("Palos") a 50' x 10.05' non-exclusive easement for the operation of a 12-inch storm sewer outfall pipe on District Cal-Sag Channel Parcel 6.01 located along the north side of the Cal-Sag Channel and south of 111th Street in Palos Hills, Illinois.  The easement commenced on September 8, 1988, and is set to expire September 7, 2013.  Palos has requested a new 25-year easement upon expiration of its current easement.

The District's technical departments have reviewed Palos' request for a new 25-year easement and have no objections thereto.  A nominal fee of $10.00 is recommended as is customary for governmental entities operating storm sewer outfall pipes for public purposes.

It is requested that the Executive Director recommend to the Board of Commissioners that it grant a 25-year, 50' x 10.05' non-exclusive easement to operate, maintain, repair, remove and reconstruct a 12- inch storm sewer outfall pipe on District Cal-Sag Channel Parcel 6.01 located along the north side of the Cal-Sag Channel and south of 111th Street in Palos Hills, Illinois.  Consideration shall be $10.00.

It is also requested that the Executive Director recommend to the Board of Commissioners that it authorize and direct the Chairman of the Committee on Finance and the Clerk to execute the easement  agreement after it is approved by the General Counsel as to form and legality.

Requested, Ronald M. Hill, General Counsel, RMH:STM:BEB:rg
Recommended, David St. Pierre, Executive Director
Respectfully Submitted, Mariyana T. Spyropoulos, Chairman Committee on Real Estate Development
