Dear Sir:
 
Request for Proposal (RFP) documents have been prepared for Procurement of Natural Gas Services, at the request of the Maintenance and Operations Department.
 
The purpose of this contract is to obtain a pool of bidders that are qualified to supply natural gas.  These bidders will then be asked to participate in a reverse auction for Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago facilities for a period of up to three years.
 
The estimated cost for this RFP is $5,400,000.00.  The estimated 2014, 2015 and 2016, expenditures are $1,800,000.00 annually.
 
A bid deposit is not required for this RFP.
 
Appendix A will not be included due to the scope of work performed under this RFP.
 
The tentative schedule for this contract is as follows:
Advertise      September 11, 2013
Proposals Received      September 27, 2013
Award      November 7, 2013
Completion      December 31, 2016
 
Funds are being requested in 2014, in Accounts 101-66000, 67000, 68000, 69000-612160.
Funds for subsequent year, 2015 and 2016, are contingent on the Board of Commissioners' approval of the District's budget for those years.
