Dear Sir:
 
Contract documents and specifications have been prepared for Contract 13-654-11 Provide Refurbished and Factory Replacement Parts for Limitorque Valve Actuators at Various Service Areas, at the request of the Maintenance and Operations Department.
 
The purpose of this contract is to procure refurbished and factory replacement parts for Limitorque valve actuators at various District process and control facilities.
 
The estimated cost for this contract is $276,000.00. The estimated 2013, 2014 and 2015 expenditures are $50,500.00, $109,000.00 and $116,500.00, respectively.
 
The bid deposit for this contract is $13,800.00.
 
The Multi-Project Labor Agreement (MPLA) will be included in this contract.  
 
The Affirmative Action Interim Ordinance Appendix D will not be included in this contract because the requested services do not provide practical or cost-effective opportunities for direct or indirect subcontracting.
 
The tentative schedule for this contract is as follows:

Bid Opening                  November 12, 2013
Award                        December 19, 2013
Completion                  December 31, 2015
 
Funds for the current year are available in Accounts 101-66000/67000/68000/69000-612600/623070/623270. Funds for subsequent years, 2014 and 2015, are contingent on the Board of Commissioners' approval of the District's budget for those years.
 
In view of the foregoing, it is recommended that the Director of Procurement and Materials Management be authorized to advertise Contract 13-654-11.
