Attached is a report of cash investment interest income received by the District for the month of December 2009 and a comparison of income for the same period in 2008.
The District’s inventory of investments at December 31, 2009, consisted of 218 items having a total par value of $991,742,428.08, an average annual yield of 0.74%, and total interest income to maturity of approximately $8.1 million. Inventory figures at the same date in 2008 were 200 items having a total par value of $678,796,200.59, an average annual yield of 2.23%, and interest income to maturity of approximately $16.4 million.
