Attached is a report of cash investment interest income received by the District for the month of February 2010 and a comparison of income for the same period in 2009.
The District’s inventory of investments at February 28, 2010, consisted of 153 items having a total par value of $895,774,778.66, an average annual yield of 1.05%, and total interest income to maturity of approximately $18.2 million. Inventory figures at the same date in 2009 were 141 items having a total par value of $619,288,152.34, an average annual yield of 1.71%, and interest income to maturity of approximately $10.3 million.
