COMMITTEE ON PROCUREMENT

Mr. Richard Lanyon, Executive Director

Title

Issue purchase order to Godwin Pumps of America, Inc., to Furnish and Deliver One Six Inch, Self Priming, Trailer Mounted Diesel Pump to the John Egan Water Reclamation Plant, Not to Exceed $37,384.12, Account 101, 67000-634650, Requisition 1301046

Body

Dear Sir:

Authorization is requested to issue a purchase order Godwin Pumps of America, Inc., to furnish and deliver one six inch, self priming, trailer mounted diesel pump. The purchase order will expire on December 31, 2010.

Godwin Pumps of America, Inc., the sole provider of pump required, has submitted prices for the pump required. Inasmuch as Godwin Pumps of America, Inc., is the only source of supply for the pump required, nothing would be gained by advertising for bids (Section 11.4 of the Purchasing Act).

Godwin Pumps of America, Inc., is registered and in good standing with the State of Illinois.

The Multi-Project Labor Agreement is not applicable because these are furnish and deliver sole sourced requirements.

In view of the foregoing it is recommended that the Director of Procurement and Materials Management be authorized to issue a purchase order to Godwin Pumps of America, Inc., in an amount not to exceed $36,834.12.

Funds for the 2010 expenditures in the amount of $36,834.12 are available in Account 101, 67000-634650

Requested, Osoth Jamjun, Director of Maintenance and Operations

Recommended, Darlene A. LoCascio, Director of Procurement and Materials Management, DAL:SEB:JN:slk

Respectfully Submitted, Barbara J. McGowan, Chairman, Committee on Procurement
