Authority to convey 0.022 acres of District land to Illinois Department of Transportation located along the west side of the Central Avenue Overpass, south of Main Channel and part of Main Channel Parcel 38.13 in Forest View, Illinois. Consideration shall be a fee of $2,000.00

Dear Sir:
Illinois Department of Transportation (“IDOT”) requests to acquire approximately 0.022 acres (3’ x 320’) of District land located along the west side of the Central Avenue Overpass, south of Main Channel and part of Main Channel Parcel 38.13 in Forest View for widening of the Central Avenue Overpass at this location. The land is unoccupied.
IDOT intends to widen a section of the Central Avenue Overpass and alter the configuration of the interchange, the lanes, and the embankment in the area of Central Avenue near the intersection of Interstate 55 which requires the acquisition of this land from the District. IDOT has also requested a temporary construction permit on two parcels which is addressed in a letter to the Board of Commissioners of even date herewith. One of the two parcels is located directly adjacent to and westerly of the 3’ x 320’ foot strip IDOT is requesting to purchase. The construction area includes District and non-District lands.
The District’s technical departments have reviewed the request to acquire the land and have no objection to the proposed sale.
The $2,000.00 fee is based upon a current fair market value appraisal report of the subject site.
It is requested that the Executive Director recommend to the Board of Commissioners that it authorize and approve the conveyance of 0.022 acres of District land to Illinois Department of Transportation located along the west side of the Central Avenue Overpass, south of the Main Channel and part of Main Channel Parcel 38.13 in Forest View, Illinois. Consideration shall be a fee of $2,000.00.
It is further requested that the Executive Director recommend to the Board of Commissioners that it authorize the Chairman of the Committee on Finance and the Clerk to execute the necessary conveyance documents after they are approved by the General Counsel as to form and legality.
