Requesting the advice and consent of the Board of Commissioners to the appointment of Ms. Denice E. Korcal as the Director of Human Resources for the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago (As Revised)

Dear Commissioners:
Section 2605/4 of Chapter 70, Illinois Compiled Statutes, states that the Executive Director, with the advice and consent of the Board of Commissioners, shall appoint the Director of Human Resources. I hereby request that the Board of Commissioners give me its advice and consent to a permanent appointment of Ms. Denice E. Korcal as Director of Human Resources
Ms. Korcal began her career at the District in 1985 as a Service Representative in the Monitoring and Research Department and has progressed through the ranks within the Human Resources Department as Personnel Assistant to her current position of Acting Director of Human Resources, as described in her career highlights attached.
Ms. Korcal has been Acting Director of Human Resources since May 1, 2010. I am pleased and proud to make this appointment of a dedicated and proven member of the Human Resources Department. Upon the consent of the Board of Commissioners, the effective dated of the appointment is August 12, 2010.
