Dear Sir:
The District is in receipt of a request to lease, for 39 years, two parcels of District land located along the south bank of the Cal-Sag Channel and the east side of Cicero Avenue in Crestwood, Illinois; commonly known as Cal-Sag Atlas Parcel Nos. 12.07 (approximately .99 acres) and 12.08 (approximately 1.16 acres).
The subject parcels are currently vacant. The two parcels previously were leased and used as parking lots for two restaurants located on adjacent privately owned land, both of which has since been demolished. The adjacent privately owned land has since been re-developed. The owner of the parcels now request to lease District land for parking for the businesses located on the adjacent parcels and/or additional commercial development.
It is respectfully requested that the Executive Director recommend that the Board of Commissioners authorize and approve the commencement of statutory procedures for a 39-year lease of two parcels of District land totaling 2.15 acres located along the south bank of the Cal-Sag Channel and the east side of Cicero Avenue in Crestwood, Illinois, commonly known as Cal-Sag Atlas Parcel Nos. 12.07 and 12.08.
