Dear Sir:
 
Contract documents and specifications have been prepared for Contract 13-805-21 Furnish and Deliver Two 13.2 kV Circuit Breakers to Calumet Water Reclamation Plant, at the request of the Maintenance and Operations Department.
 
The purpose of the project is to procure two 13.2 kV circuit breakers, which are necessary for continuity of electric service to the switchgear at the Calumet Water Reclamation Plant and TARP.
 
The estimated cost of this contract is $82,000.00.
 
The bid deposit for this contract is $4,000.00.
 
The Multi-Project Labor Agreement (MPLA) and the Affirmative Action Interim Ordinance, Appendix D, will not be included in this contract because it is primarily a furnish and deliver contract for equipment.
 
The tentative schedule for this contract is as follows:
Advertise      May 15, 2013
Bid Opening      June 14, 2013
Award      July 11, 2013
Completion      November 15, 2013
 
Funds are available in Account 201-50000-645650.
 
In view of the foregoing, it is recommended that the Director of Procurement and Materials Management be authorized to advertise Contract 13-805-21.
