Dear Sir:
Contract documents and specifications have been prepared to furnish and deliver twenty-three (23) all-electric passenger vehicles. These vehicles will replace vehicles used by District personnel for in-plant transportation at various locations.
The estimated cost for this contract is $409,400.00.
A bid deposit is not required for this contract.
The Multi-Project Labor Agreement (MPLA) is not applicable to this Contract because it is primarily a furnish and deliver Contract.
Revised Appendix D will not be included in this contract because it is primarily a furnish and deliver contract.
The tentative schedule for this contract is as follows:
Advertise August 20, 2008
Bid Opening September 9, 2008
Award October 2, 2008
Completion December 31, 2008
Funds are available in Accounts 101-67000, 68000, 69000-634860.
In view of the foregoing, it is recommended that the Purchasing Agent be authorized to advertise Contract 08-402-11.
