Dear Sir:

 

Contract documents and specifications have been prepared to Furnish and Deliver Salt and Calcium Chloride to Various Locations for a One (1) Year Period, beginning approximately November 1, 2008 and ending October 31, 2009.

 

The purpose of this contract is to furnish and deliver salt and calcium chloride, that is required for the day to day operations of the District.

 

The estimated cost for this contract is $39,000.00.

 

The Multi-Project Labor Agreement (MPLA) and the Revised Appendix D are not applicable to this contract because it is primarily a furnish and deliver contract.

 

The tentative schedule for this contract is as follows:

 

Advertise                                     August 27, 2008

Bid Opening                          September 16, 2008

Award                                          October 2, 2008

Completion                                October 31, 2009

 

Funds are available in Account 101-20000-623130.

 

In view of the foregoing, it is recommended that the Purchasing Agent be authorized to advertise Contract 08-036-11.
