Title
Authority to grant a 25-year, non-exclusive 400’ x 15’ easement to the Township of Elk Grove to continue to operate, maintain and remove a sanitary outfall sewer on District real estate located west of Elmhurst Road, south of I-90, and south of the O’Hare CUP Reservoir. Consideration shall be $10.00.

Dear Sir:
In 1987, the District issued a 25-year, non-exclusive easement to the Township of Elk Grove (“Elk Grove”) to construct, operate, maintain and remove an approximately 362 linear feet of sewer pipe for a sanitary outfall sewer through District land located west of Elmhurst Road, south of I-90, and south of the O’Hare CUP Reservoir to serve a mobile home park. The sewer outfalls into a TARP dropshaft west of the O’Hare CUP Reservoir. Elk Grove has requested a new 25-year easement to continue to operate and maintain the sewer pipe.
The District’s technical departments have no objections to granting a new 25-year easement to Elk Grove for continued operation of the outfall sewer. A nominal fee of $10.00 is being recommended as Elk Grove is a municipal agency operating an outfall pipe for a public purpose.
It is requested that the Executive Director recommend to the Board of Commissioners that it grant a 25-year, non-exclusive 400’ x 15’ easement to the Township of Elk Grove to continue to operate, maintain and remove a sanitary outfall sewer on District real estate located west of Elmhurst Road, south of I-90, and south of the O’Hare CUP Reservoir. Consideration shall be $10.00.
It is also requested that the Executive Director recommend to the Board of Commissioners that it authorize and direct the Chairman of the Committee on Finance and the Clerk to execute the easement agreement after it is approved by the General Counsel as to form and legality.
