Report to the Board on guidelines for the use of Green Infrastructure to meet MWRD stormwater detention requirements

Dear Sir:
At the December 1, 2011 Board Meeting the Board of Commissioners approved the use of Green Infrastructure (GI) as a method of meeting MWRD required stormwater detention when required as part of a Sewerage System Permit.
Attached to this Board Letter please find the proposed guidelines that will be posted on the MWRD web site. It is expected that guidelines will evolve as experience is gained from the use of GI and feedback from the local communities is received.
If further clarification is required, please advise the undersigned.
