Dear Sir:

 

Contract documents and specifications have been prepared to refinish wood paneling in offices of the Main Office Building (MOB).

 

The wood panels are currently faded and the veneer is splitting. A re-application of oil and wood stain is necessary to preserve the integrity and appearance of the panels.

 

The estimated cost for this contract is $25,000.00.

 

A bid deposit of $1,200.00 is required for this contract.

 

The Multi-Project Labor Agreement will be included in this contract.

 

Revised Appendix D will not be included in this contract because the estimate is less than the minimum threshold established by Section 4 of the Affirmative Action Ordinance.

 

The tentative schedule for this contract is as follows:

Advertise                     January 18, 2012

Bid Opening                     February 7, 2012

Award                     March 1, 2012

Completion                     April 30, 2012

 

Funds are available in Account 101-15000-612680.

 

In view of the foregoing, it is recommended that the Director of Procurement and Materials Management be authorized to advertise Contract 12-431-11.
