Dear Sir:

 

Contract documents and specifications have been prepared for Contract 21-606-11, Grazing Control of Vegetation.

 

The purpose of this contract is to use grazing animals to control vegetation at various water reclamation plants and storm water reservoirs.

 

The estimated cost for this contract is not to exceed $95,000.00.

 

The Multi-Project Labor Agreement (MPLA) is not included in this contract because the classification of work does not fall within the provisions of the MPLA.

 

The Affirmative Action Ordinance, Revised Appendix D, will not be included in this contract because the estimate is less than the minimum threshold established by Section 4 of the Affirmative Action Ordinance.

 

The tentative schedule for this contract is as follows:

Advertise                                          December 2, 2020

Bid Opening                                          January 5, 2021

Award                                                               January 21, 2021

Completion                                           December 31, 2021

 

Funds are being requested in 2021, in Accounts 101/501-50000/67000/68000-612330/612420, and are contingent on the Board of Commissioners’ approval of the District’s budget for that year.

 

In view of the foregoing, it is recommended that the Director of Procurement and Materials Management be authorized to advertise Contract 21-606-11.
