Dear Sir:

 

On October 20, 2005, the Board of Commissioners passed an order authorizing the Purchasing Agent to issue a purchase order for Contract 05-400-11 to O’Herron in an amount not to exceed $76,519.75. The contract expires on October 31, 2008.

 

Previous change orders have resulted in the current purchase order value of $66,619.52.

 

A decrease in the contract value is now being requested to accurately reflect estimated expenditures.

 

The change order is in compliance with the Illinois Criminal Code since the change order is due to circumstances not reasonably foreseeable, and is in the best interest of the District.

 

It is hereby requested that the Board of Commissioners authorize the Purchasing Agent to execute a change order to decrease the purchase order in an amount of $2,000.00 (3.10 percent of the current contract value) from an amount of $66,619.52 to an amount not to exceed $64,619.52.

 

Funds will be restored in Account 101-15000-623700.
