Dear Sir:

 

Contract documents and specifications have been prepared for Contract 24-611-11, Repairs and Alterations to Various Water Reclamation Facilities, at the request of the Maintenance and Operations Department.

 

The purpose of this contract is to procure the services of various trades to make repairs throughout the District for an approximate three-year period.

 

The estimated cost for this contract is not to exceed $20,779,560.00. The estimated 2024, 2025, 2026, and 2027 expenditures are $160,000.00, $6,793,200.00, $6,909,000.00, and $6,917,360.00, respectively.

 

The Multi-Project Labor Agreement (MPLA) will be included in this contract.

 

The Affirmative Action Ordinance Revised Appendix D and the Appendix V will be included in this contract. The type of work to be performed under the contract is within the “General Construction” category for establishing utilization goals for Minority-owned Business Enterprises (MBE), Women-owned Business Enterprises (WBE), and Veteran-owned Business Enterprises (VBE). The individual goals for this contract are 20% MBE, 10% WBE, and 3% VBE. The requirements of the Special Training Provisions for Apprentices are 3950 Minority hours and 1390 Female hours for the purpose of this contract.

 

The tentative schedule for this contract is as follows:

Bid Opening                        October 8, 2024

Award                                                               November 7, 2024

Completion                         December 31, 2027

 

Funds are available in 2024 in Accounts 101-67000/68000/69000-612600/612650. Funds for the subsequent years, 2025, 2026, and 2027, are contingent upon the Board of Commissioners’ approval of the District’s budget for those years.

 

In view of the foregoing, it is recommended that the Director of Procurement and Materials Management be authorized to advertise Contract 24-611-11.
