Dear Sir:

 

On March 19, 2009, the Board of Commissioners authorized the Director of Procurement and Materials Management to advertise for bids, Contract 09-883-11, Replace Gratings and Supports in Batteries A and B at the Calumet Water Reclamation Plant.

 

In response to a public advertisement of April 29, 2009, a bid opening was held on June 2, 2009.  The bid tabulation for this contract is:

 

ENERFAB, INC.                     *$220,989.81

PRAIRIE STEEL CONSTRUCTION, INC.                     $301,760.00

ANCHOR MECHANICAL, INC.                     *$328,713.00

BULLSEYE CONTRACTORS LLC                     $428,679.50

                     *corrected total

 

Six hundred thirteen (613) companies were notified of this contract being advertised and twenty-nine (29) companies requested specifications.

 

The Maintenance and Operations Department has cancelled this contract due to budgetary concerns.  The contract will not be readvertised.  The Director of Procurement and Materials Management has informed Enerfab, Inc., Prairie Steel Construction, Inc., Anchor Mechanical, Inc., and Bullseye Contractors LLC, of this action.

 

Funds will be restored in Account 101-68000-612650.
