Report on the results of reverse auction to procure natural gas under Contract 23-RFP-02, Procurement of Natural Gas Services

Dear Sir:
On May 16, 2024, the Board of Commissioners authorized the Director of Procurement and Materials Management to invite proposers to an auction, administer an auction, and enter into an agreement with a successful proposer to supply natural gas to the District.
A reverse auction was held on June 26, 2024, where the two proposers were allowed to offer and re-offer pricing until the close of the auction. The proposers agreed to hold their prices in the auction for two hours after the auction while District staff reviewed the pricing offered.
The District awarded a contract to Constellation New Energy - Gas Division, LLC, for a fixed price of $0.424/therm for a twenty-four-month term, beginning August 1, 2024.
