MEMORIAL RESOLUTION sponsored by the Board of Commissioners extending sympathy and condolences to the family of Emma K. Wideman
Body
WHEREAS, Emma Wideman was called to eternal rest on February 4, 2008; and
WHEREAS, Mrs. Wideman was born in Chicago, Illinois on December 26, 1949 to Johnny and Larue Jackson, the seventh of thirteen siblings; and
WHERAS, as a child, Mrs. Wideman began her brave and noble walk on the path of Christianity when she openly accepted Christ at the Gateway Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of her father, the Rev. Johnny Jackson; and
WHEREAS, as an adult, Mrs. Wideman was an active and devout member of the Living Word Christian Center under the leadership of Bill Winsto; and
WHEREAS, Mrs. Wideman was a faithful member of the No Limit Christian Center under the leadership of her brother, Pastor Joseph Jackson, and she gave genuinely and generously of herself in caring for the children of the Church through its daycare program; and
WHEREAS, Mrs. Wideman was a devoted wife, loving and nurturing mother, and pillar of strength who opened her home and heart to many friends and family; and
WHEREAS, Mrs. Wideman was the matriarch of the Dickerson family including her beloved husband of many years, James; her surviving children Jacob (Tasha), Simeon, Danyel (Anitra), and Charra (Kevin); her stepchildren Anthony, Yolanda, Sharon and Nyoka; and her beloved grandchildren Jacob, Jr., Janea, Joshua, Simeon, and Symone; and
WHEREAS, Mrs. Dickerson came from a close-knit family leaving behind her mother, her brothers Johnnie Jr. (Christine), Ronald Sr., Alonzo, Kenneth, Joseph (Christine), and her sisters Luada, Charlestein (Jim), Johnnie Mae, and Martha (McKinley); and was preceded in death by her father and her brothers Lionel and Bobby; and
WHEREAS, countless people, including a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends, mourn the passing of this wonderful woman who lived her life as a child of God and instilled in her family a legacy of love and dedication; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that we, the Board of Commissioners of the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago, on behalf of ourselves and staff, extend our sympathy and condolences to the family of Emma K. Wideman; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this Resolution be spread upon the permanent Record of Proceedings of the Board of Commissioners of the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago and that a copy of same, suitably engrossed, be presented to the family of Emma K. Wideman.
