Body

Dear Sir:

The purpose of this RFP is to select a qualified vendor to provide training to further enhance skills of employees in identifying various odorous compounds throughout the wastewater treatment process by learning various methods of  recognizing the sources of odor complaints based on the characteristics of the odors so that appropriate mitigation measures can be taken.  This training is included in the Stickney Odor Mitigation Report, required by the draft Clean Air Act Permit Program (CAAPP) Permit for the Stickney Water Reclamation Plant.

The training will occur in years 2020, 2021, and 2022. The delivery of the trainings will be either in-person or on-line, depending on the courses or workshops. On-line trainings may be conducted via video conferencing, on-line meetings, screen sharing and webinars by use of computers, audio, and internet access.

The estimated cost for this RFP is $30,000.00 for a three-year period. The estimated costs for 2020, 2021, and 2022 are $10,000.00 for each budget year.

A bid deposit is not required for this request for proposal.

Affirmative Action, Appendix A and Appendix V will not be included in this contract because the estimate is less than the minimum threshold established by Section 4 of the Affirmative Action Ordinance.
