Dear Sir:
Contract documents and specifications have been prepared to furnish and deliver twenty-five (25) fleet vehicles for use by various District facilities.
The purpose of this contract is the procurement of passenger vehicles and light duty trucks to replace same-type vehicles used by employees at various locations throughout the District.
The estimated cost for this contract is $591,000.00.
There is no bid deposit required.
The Multi-Project Labor Agreement is not applicable to this contract because it is primarily a furnish and deliver contract.
Revised Appendix D is not included in this contract because this is primarily a furnish and deliver contract.
The tentative schedule for this contract is as follows:
Advertise July 29, 2009
Bid opening August 18, 2009
Award September 18, 2009
Completion December 31, 2009
Funds are available in Account 101-15000-634860.
In view of the foregoing, it is recommended that the Director of Procurement and Materials Management be authorized to advertise Contract 09-430-11.
