Dear Sir:
Contract documents and specifications have been prepared for Contract 25-617-11, Power Distribution Equipment Inspection and Repairs, at the request of the Maintenance and Operations Department.
The purpose of this contract is to provide testing and repair services and replacement parts to maintain power distribution equipment for District facilities.
The estimated cost of this contract is not to exceed $735,000.00. The estimated 2025, 2026, 2027, and 2028 expenditures are $15,000.00 for 2025, and $240,000.00 per year for 2026, 2027, and 2028.
The Multi-Project Labor Agreement (MPLA) will be included in this contract.
The Affirmative Action Ordinance, Revised Appendix D and Appendix V will not be included in this contract due to the limited availability of MBE/WBE/VBE participants and the specialized nature of the services.
The tentative schedule for this contract is as follows:

Bid Opening September 16, 2025
Award October 2, 2025
Completion December 31, 2028
Funds for 2025 are available in Accounts 101-67000/68000/69000-612650/623070. Funds for the following years, 2026, 2027, and 2028, are contingent on the Board of Commissioners’ approval of the District’s budget for those years.
In view of the foregoing, it is recommended that the Director of Procurement and Materials Management be authorized to advertise Contract 25-617-11.
