COMMITTEE ON JUDICIARY

Mr. Richard Lanyon, General Superintendent

Title

Authority to settle the Workers’ Compensation Claim of William Yadron vs. MWRDGC, Claim No. 0200003573, Illinois Workers’ Compensation Commission in the sum of $23,248.88.  Account 901-30000-601090

Body

Dear Sir:

William Yadron was a Hoisting Engineer at the Stickney Water Reclamation District prior to his retirement in November of 2007.  On June 19, 2007, he was driving a wheel loader out of a lagoon when he hit a railroad stop.  He struck his head on the windshield and the machine rolled backwards into the lagoon.  He was taken to Loyola University Medical Center and diagnosed with a right transverse process fracture of the third cervical vertebra.  Yadron completed a physical therapy program. He lost 78 days of work

Subject to the approval of the Illinois Workers’ Compensation Commission, this pro se claim may now be settled for the sum of $23,248.88, which represents a 7.5% loss of the person as a whole.

The Attorney requests payment of that sum be approved and he be authorized to execute such documents as may be necessary to effect the settlement.

Requested, Frederick M. Feldman, Attorney, FMF:LAG:VMM:lrr

Respectfully Submitted, Terrence J. O’Brien, Chairman Committee on Judiciary

ORDERED passed by affirmative roll call vote of a majority of the Commissioners present this June 5, 2008.  Approved, President Terrence J. O’Brien
