Dear Sir:

 

On September 19, 2024, the Board of Commissioners authorized the Director of Procurement and Materials Management to advertise for bids, Contract 25-003-11, Furnish and Deliver Laboratory Disposable Gloves to Various Locations for a One (1) Year Period, beginning approximately January 1, 2025, and ending December 31, 2025.

 

In response to a public advertisement of September 25, 2024, a bid opening was held on October 15, 2024. On December 5, 2024, the Board of Commissioners authorized the award of Contract 25-003-11, Furnish and Deliver Laboratory Disposable Gloves to Various Locations for a One (1) Year Period, to Organic Solutions, Inc, in an amount not to exceed $43,464.00.

 

On January 13, 2025, Organic Solutions, Inc. was notified regarding their inability to delivery various material that was required to be supplied under this contract.  Additional follow up was made with this vendor on January 16, 2025, and on January 22, 2025. On January 31, 2025, Organic Solutions, Inc. responded to these repeated inquiries in writing and confirmed that they are unable to meet the contractually obligated pricing of the contract material. Therefore, the Director of Procurement and Materials Management has advised Organic Solutions, Inc. that their contract will be forfeited in accordance with Section 70 ILCS 2605/11.11 of the Purchasing Act. Organic Solutions, Inc. will not be considered a responsible bidder for a one-year period.

 

Authority to award Contract 25-003-11 to the next responsible bidder will be presented at this board meeting, under separate board action.
