Authority to advertise Contract 24-003-11, Furnish and Deliver Laboratory Disposable Gloves to Various Locations for a One (1) Year Period, estimated cost $115,000.00, Account 101-20000-623700

Dear Sir:

 

Contract documents and specifications have been prepared to furnish and deliver laboratory disposable gloves to various locations for a one (1) year period, beginning approximately January 1, 2024 and ending December 31, 2024.

 

The purpose of this contract is to furnish and deliver laboratory disposable gloves, to be stored in the District’s storerooms, to maintain sufficient inventory levels that are required for the day to day operational needs of the District.

 

The estimated cost for this contract is $115,000.00

 

No bid deposit is required for this contract.

 

The Multi-Project Labor Agreement (MPLA) is not applicable to this contract because it does not fall under the provisions of the MPLA.

 

The Affirmative Action Ordinance, Revised Appendix D and Appendix V, will not be included in this contract. Contract goals are established based upon the availability of at least three (3) MBEs and three (3) WBEs and at least two (2) VBEs registered on the District's Vendor List to perform the anticipated services. A review of the MBE/WBE/VBE vendors on the District's Vendor List yielded one (1) MBE, and two (2) WBE vendors that can perform these services. Therefore, the Appendix D and Appendix V are not applicable.

 

The tentative schedule for this contract is as follows:

Advertise                                          September 20, 2023

Bid Opening                       October 10, 2023

Award                                                               December 7, 2023

Completion                          December 31, 2024

 

Funds are available in Account 101-20000-623700.

 

In view of the foregoing, it is recommended that the Director of Procurement and Materials Management be authorized to advertise Contract 24-003-11.
