Dear Sir:

 

Contract documents and specifications have been prepared for Contract 22-614-11 Elevator Maintenance at various locations, at the request of the Maintenance and Operations Department.

 

This contract is to provide elevator maintenance for water reclamation plants and related facilities, including annual testing, safety inspections, and submission of documents to acquire certificates of operation.

 

The estimated cost of this contract is $1,299,620.00. The estimated 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025 expenditures are $82,657.00, $500,629.00, $358,167.00 and $358,167.00 respectively.

 

The Multi-Project Labor Agreement (MPLA) will be included in this contract.

 

The Affirmative Action Ordinance, Revised Appendix D will be included in this contract. The type of work to be performed under the contract is within the “Mechanical” category for establishing Minority-owned Business Enterprises (MBE), Women-owned Business Enterprises (WBE), and Small Business Enterprises (SBE) individual goals. The associated Socially and Economically Disadvantaged tailored goals for this contract are 20% MBE and/or WBE, and 10% SBE.

 

The tentative schedule for this contract is as follows:

Advertise                     July 20, 2022

Bid Opening                     August 16, 2022

Award                     September 15, 2022

Completion                     December 31, 2025

 

Funds for 2022 are available in Accounts 101-67000/68000/69000-612600/612680. Funds for the subsequent years, 2023, 2024 and 2025, are contingent on the Board of Commissioners’ approval of the District’s budget for those years.

 

In view of the foregoing, it is recommended that the Director of Procurement and Materials Management be authorized to advertise Contract 22-614-11.
