Authority to advertise Contract 20-RFP-24, Supply of Electricity

Dear Sir:
Request for Proposal (RFP) documents have been prepared for Contract 20-RFP-24, Supply of Electricity, at the request of the Maintenance and Operations Department.
The purpose of this request for proposal is for qualified contractors to participate in online reverse auction to provide supply-side electricity. Therefore, the District is requesting proposals for the provision of performance-based supply-side energy suppliers.
The contract duration is for five (5) years with an option to extend for up to five (5) additional years for a potential total of 10 years performance term.
There are no direct costs for the professional services supplied throughout the term of this proposal. The successful Proposer will be compensated through its activities related to the purchase of electricity.
No bid deposit is required for this Proposal.
Appendix A and Appendix V will not be included due to the scope of work performed under this RFP.
The tentative schedule for this request for proposal is as follows:
Advertise July 21, 2021
Proposals Received August 13, 2021
Award October 18, 2021
Completion October 18, 2026
In view of the foregoing, it is recommended that the Director of Procurement and Materials Management be authorized to advertise Contract 20-RFP-24.
