Body
Dear Sir:
Contract 06-656-11 was awarded to Divane Bros. Electric Company at the Board Meeting of June 15, 2006, in an amount not to exceed $830,000.00. Change orders through the life of the Contract have resulted in the current Contract value of $626,482.31. Groups B, C and D of the Contract terminated on December 31, 2007. Group A will terminate on March 31, 2008.
Due to less than anticipated utilization of services in the Calumet, North Side and Kirie Water Reclamation Plants during 2007, a total of $63,236.68 of the funds allocated for 2007 were not expended.
Authorization is hereby requested to decrease the following Purchase Orders (P.O.s):
P.O. 5000575 by $32,460.54, from $126,657.21 to $94,196.67
P.O. 5000576 by $30,776.14, from $93,613.53 to $62,837.39
The total decrease of the two P.O.s combined is $63,236.68 (approximately 10.1% of the current Contract value). The total Contract value will be decreased from an amount not to exceed $626,482.31 to an amount not to exceed $563,245.63.
This decrease is in compliance with the Illinois Criminal Code since it is due to not reasonably foreseeable circumstances, and is in the best interest of the District.
Funds will be restored to Accounts 101-68000, 67000-612600.
