Authority to issue a 17½-month permit extension agreement to Christy Webber Landscapes for continued use of District property located at Cal-Sag Channel and Ridgeland Avenue, Palos Heights, Illinois. Consideration shall be $95,500.00

Dear Sir:
Christy Webber Landscapes ("CWL") currently has a permit to use approximately 12 acres of District land located at the Ridgeland Avenue Drying Facilities for the purpose of mulching and storing leaves. The permit expires July 16, 2012. CWL has requested to extend the permit until December 31, 2013. A photograph of the permit site is attached.
The District's technical departments have reviewed this matter and have no objections to extending CWL's permit until December 31, 2013.
The permit fee of $95,500.00 is recommended, which is based on a pro-rated share of the fair market value of the site based upon nearby comparable sales.
It is requested that the Executive Director recommend to the Board of Commissioners that it authorize and approve the issuance of a 17½-month permit extension agreement to Christy Webber Landscapes to use approximately 12 acres of District real estate located at the Cal-Sag Channel and Ridgeland Avenue in Palos Heights, Illinois, known as the Ridgeland Avenue Drying Facilities.
It is further requested that the Executive Director recommend to the Board of Commissioners that it authorize the Chairman of the Committee on Finance and the Clerk to execute the permit extension agreement after it is approved by the General Counsel as to form and legality.
